Privacy
Pulse is first-party analytics that works when the visitor clicks Reject. We do not sell a fingerprint across sites.
What we don’t store
- No first-party tracking cookies.
- No localStorage or sessionStorage identifiers for analytics.
- No raw IP addresses. Geo is resolved in memory, then the IP is discarded.
- No individual person profiles, session replay, or heatmaps.
Uniques
A daily hash: IP + user agent + site + UTC date + a secret. It changes every UTC day, so nobody is followed across days. Bounce and sessions are estimates for the same reason.
URLs
Query strings are stripped from pages and referrers. UTM keys are stored as their own fields when present.
Identify
pulse.identify is for destinations that need an email. It is not written to our anonymous event tables.
